BORIS GRYZLOV POINTED OUT THE IMPORTANCE OF MEETING THE SCHEDULE DEADLINES OF NUCLEAR ICEBREAKERS, PR. 22220

In Murmansk, Boris Gryzlov, permanent member of the Security Council of Russia, chairman of the Supervisory Board of the State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom”, was informed regarding the work of FSUE “Atomflot”.
At the meeting on the development of the nuclear icebreaker fleet of Russia, a report on the work of Rosatomflot in 2014 was presented, including data on the largest Arctic projects that are carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence of Russia.
A separate report was dedicated to the work progress on the lead nuclear icebreaker, pr. 22220. The report was presented by Alexander Konovalov, Manufacturing Director of Baltiysky Zavod.
In his turn, Boris Gryzlov stated: “It is extremely important for all of us that the schedule deadline of the nuclear icebreakers building is met without fail. I understand that top management and the staff of Baltiysky Zavod are doing their best in order to execute a most important task of the national level and build a series of the nuclear icebreakers. Nevertheless, there might be need for even bigger effort from all the parties”.
General director FSUE “Atomflot” Vyacheslav Ruksha thanked Boris Gryzlov for financial support allocated for building of the three nuclear icebreakers of new generation: Without your personal support and without support of the State Corporation “Rosatom” we might never receive the funds for the implementation of this most important project which ensures reliable future for Rosatomfleet. Thus, on behalf of our personnel I would like to thank you for your support”.
