|
Since 1994 Baltiysky Zavod JSC is improving its quality system through implementation of basic principles of Total Quality Management (ТQM):
- customer orientation;
- continuous improvement;
- system process control;
- partnership with suppliers;
- result orientation;
- personnel training.
In 1997 Baltiysky Zavod has successfully proceeded the Quality Management System certification by Bureau Veritas Quality International in accordance with International Standard ISO 9001-94, with accreditation in England, Germany, USA and Holland as well as by "Oboronsertifika" (National Classification Authority).
In 1998-1999 the following certificates have been granted to Baltiysky Zavod:
- Certificate of the Maritime Register of Shipping of the Russian Federation concerning construction and repairs of ships (hull, engineering and radio equipment); production of main and auxiliary boilers, steam separators, stern tube and steering gears, ship's fittings, etc.; design and engineering works in the field of construction and repairs of ships;
- Certificate of approval of the shipyard as a manufacturer of forgings and castings (made of carbon and alloyed steels and non-ferrous alloys) for shipbuilding and marine engineering issued by the Maritime Register of Shipping of the Russian Federation;
- Germanischer Lloyd's Approval of Baltiysky Zavod as a manufacturer of the following products:
- copper alloy propeller castings in grades CU1, CU2 and CU3;
- steel castings according to DIN1681 and DIN1782 (up to 2,5 t max. weight);
- steel forgings according to EN10025 and EN10083 (up to 1,5 t max. weight);
- welded steel pipes according to DIN1626; DIN1628; DIN17177 and DIN17457;
- welded copper and copper alloys pipes according to DIN17671;
- machinery components manufactured by means of machining.
Propeller production has been certified by the following reputable classification societies:DNV, GL, LRS, BV,NKK, RIN.
Casting production has DNV and LRS approval.
Forging production has DNV approval.
Baltiysky Zavod JSC holds more than 20 licenses, including:
License issued by Ministry of Economy of the Russian Federation for construction, repair, warranty maintenance, re-equipment and upgrading of surface ships and for manufacturing of marine engineering products;
A number of licenses from Gosatomnadzor of Russia for manufacture of nuclear power stations equipment;
Licenses from Gosgortechnadzor of Russia for manufacture of equipment for chemical, oil- and gas- refining industry, wood-pulp and paper industry and microbiological production; automated steam boilers, exhaust-gas boilers, steam separators and other equipment. |
