| Hull Fabrication Facilities |
Hull fabrication and launching facilities of Baltiysky Zavod, JSC feature two inclined slipways (Slipway A and Slipway B), as well as an enclosed slipway intended for construction of complex ships.
The slipways are equipped with 20-ton pulling force launching winches for shifting hull on slipway. Beside the slipways there are hull fabrication platforms:
* beside Slipway A: a platform for assembly of superstructure blocks and welding forged and cast structures,
* beside Slipway B: a platform for assembly and welding of superstructure sections; it is equipped with portable 16x20 m tents and a 32-ton gantry crane.
Baltiysky Zavod, JSC outfitting berth is equipped with three portal cranes with lifting capacity 50 tons each. The length of the deep-water berth is about 900 m, depth at the berth is around 10 m. The length of the shallow-water part of the berth is 350 m with depth of 5 m. Superstructure blocks are handled by the 350-ton Demag floating crane with hoisting height up to 50 m.
